Cushman & Wakefield Takes Home 3 Major GWCAR Awards

-Firm receives 2011 Co-Retail Agents of the Year, Retail Transaction of the Year and Leasing Transaction of the Year in MarylandCushman & Wakefield (C&W), the world’s largest privately‐held commercial real estate services firm, announced today the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS® (GWCAR) awarded 10 of its brokerage professionals to highly esteemed industry awards.
David Dochter and Matthew Alexander were named 2011 co-Retail Agents of the Year and awarded the duo Retail Transaction of the Year.
In addition, GWCAR credited C&W’s Brian Sullivan and Peter Marcin with the Leasing Transaction of the Year Award in Maryland for representing the landlord, the JBG Companies (JBG), in the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) renewal of its 15-year, 935,386 square foot (sf) lease in Rockville, MD.
GWCAR commemorated the region’s top agents in finance, development, sales, leasing and retail for 2011 at the 17th Annual Commercial Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 19 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Magner also congratulated Moe Hamilton, Executive Director in C&W’s McLean, VA office, for his service as 2012 President for GWCAR. "Moe is dedicated to the commercial real estate community as a whole and we commend him for his leadership in taking on the time consuming role as President," Mr. Magner added.
GWCAR further named the following 10 C&W brokerage professionals to the 2011 Leasing Club:
